Both a bloodline and a culture founded by Siku Tartok. When she clashed with her sister Nanuq Kesuk of Shearwater Bay, Siku departed from her sister's claim and forged her own path: eventually leading to the creation of a more bestial culture, wherein wolves were welcomed to appease their baser instincts. The culture is heavily influenced by Inuit traditions. The packs work more like a militia wherever they lay their claim: the matriarch at the helm, and her children serving as her soldiers. They typically shun spiritualism in their pursuit of things more tangible.

History
Seahawk Valley to Teekon Wilds
Within the Seahawk Valley, upon the coast, there lived a pack of highly spiritual wolves within the pack of Shearwater Bay. Its leaders Nutaaq Kesuk and Nauja Kesuk held an extremely strong faith that was further influenced by the houngan Koios Iqniq. Their children, Nanuq Kesuk and Siku Kesuk were strongly involved in this vodun-based culture, although it was Nanuq who was more deeply entrenched. She bonded with the houngan and when the time came that the leadership was at its end, Nanuq and Koios stepped up to take the role. Together they brought the next generation to life within Shearwater Bay: Jinx Kesuk, Kaskae Kesuk, Vex Kesuk, and Arktos Kesuk. These children were taught of the duality between the faith's main deities, made to participate in various rituals, and together made Shearwater Bay stronger.

While all of this was happening, Siku as the loyal sister. She had once found the faith appealing but as she matured her opinion began to shift, until she broke away completely. This caused a rift between the sisters that led to a confrontation, and Siku left. Her time bettering herself physically led to a connection with another like-minded wolf, Kilgharrah, who became her mate and the father to her first litter. The first branch of the family began upon Arktayok Peak within the Seahawk Valley when the pair conceived a litter of three: Atausiq, Malruk, and Pingasut; the following year, there were four more: Atausiq, Malrok, Pingasut, and Sisamat.

As these children grew and developed their skills, they either caught Siku's eye or they did not, as she had high standards for each of them, which mostly went unmet. Of her first children only the names Tonraq Tartok and Tonravik Tartok are known in the oral history. It is known that Siku took different mates over the course of her life in accordance to the traditions she set, seeking only the strongest men to father her children. Her second mate was a man named Aves with whom she had four more children. Her last mate was Skull who gave her four more.

From there the legend splits across the bloodline. Some tales include the exploits of Tonravik, who went on to create her own branch with her mate Iqniq Tartok, and their children Anuniaq Tartok & Kaertok Tartok, of Sawtooth Spire. Another speaks of Aariak Tartok who, along with his brother Kingumut Tartok, was born in to the life after his mother Quilak Tartok was brought in to the fold by Siku herself, who considered Quilak a sister. There is also Kaniq Tartok the only son of one Atuun Tartok, who was the matriarch of her own branch.

Within the Wilds
Ouroboros & Sawtooth Spire
Tonravik visits the Seahawk Valley for the first time as she gathers together wolves for her first claim. She leaves shortly after when called by another branch, as they need bodies in a war. In the spring when she returns she has Njal Sveijarn and Echelon Tartok with her.

They approach Duskfire Glacier where Njal's wife Tuwawi Sveijarn is the matriarch with the expectation that they can unite, but Tonravik expects to take the helm of the pack, and is offended by Tuwawi when this does not happen. Tonravik and Echelon depart and leave Njal behind. Eventually they come across Kroc Tartok and together the trio decide to make their home at the then-occupied Ouroboros Spine, ousting the former leader, Cara.

That spring Tonravik finds two strong men who are willing to father her first litter, and so they are made to fight and to prove themselves. Between Iqniq and Kodiak, it is Iqniq who succeeds and becomes Tonravik's mate and they conceive the pack's future together.

The wolves of the mountain contend with trespassing from the lowland pack of Hoshor Plains, and Tonravik deals with them swiftly. She hunts down the trespassers and dominates one of them, leaving the culprit catatonic on the border of their home. She keeps the other one alive upon the Spine as a captive, and deems the area free of trouble.

A storm hits the Wilds in the summer of 2015, forcing the pack to relocate. The Spine is hit directly and so this branch of Tartok must find somewhere more suitable to settle before Tonravik gives birth. They find Sawtooth Spire and as they work on their claim, Tonravik gives birth and four cubs survive: Atuaserk, Malrok, Pingasut, and Sitamat.

Of these children, those that meet adulthood and earn their names include: Kaertok Tartok and Anuniaq Tartok.

Tartok-Sveijarn
Njal Sveijarn and his wife Tuwawi Sveijarn's two boys, Valtyr Sveijarn and Larus Sveijarn, grow up and become part of the Tartok lineage in their own way.

In the case of Larus, he meets Saghani Tartok and forms a bond with her. His mind starts to deteriorate due to illness, and he becomes unable to hold on to a long-term memory, which leads him to abandon Saghani. She returns to the Wilds to hunt for him and never finds him again. Her children through Larus include: Tulimaq Tartok, Ikkuma Anneriwok, and Sedna Tartok.

When it comes to Valtyr, the elder brother left behind Duskfire Glacier after it fell and his family deteriorated. He met one Sybil Inisfree and fathered three children with her: Ratha Inisfree, Shea Inisfree, and Aisling Inisfree. After some time he dispersed from this home he had made and journeyed the coast, where he met Priixu Corten of Meares Island, and settled there. Valtyr and Priixu had a trio of their own: Aegir Sveijarn-Corten, Angrboda Sveijarn-Corten and Njord Sveijarn-Corten.

2019 to Present
After some time north of the Wilds, Kaertok Tartok and his brother Anuniaq Tartok return. By this point Kaertok has many bastard children throughout the wilderness, but it is in the spring of 2020 that he becomes a father again: chosen by the alpha female of Legion, Arbiter Dokuga, so that she may have strong children. He fathers: Royal Dokuga, Haunt Dokuga, and Vex Dokuga. Along with them, Kaertok fathers Meerkat Redhawk after a fling with Towhee Redhawk of Redhawk Caldera.

Each child of Saghani's brood excelled in their own ways; Tulimaq a hunter, Ikkuma a free spirit, and Sedna an Issumatar of her own branch (Unnuakvik), within which she's borne her own children: Kigipigak Tartok, [[Nauja Anneriwok, Nuiruk Anneriwok and Kivirut Tartok. After her previous mate's death (Auktuk Tartok), her new mate Naamaruk Tartok has taken up the role of Sangilak within her village, and is the father of Aniruk Tartok.

Naming

Naming
Children are number-named until they are weaned.

# Atuaserk
# Malrok
# Pingasut
# Sitamat

Once weaned, they are given one or more names in their native tongue based on their personality and perception by their parents and the rest of the pack.

Surnames
; Anneriwok : Given to yearlings, as well as pledged outsiders prior to them proving themselves.
; Tartok : Given to Anneriwok around two years old, and to outsiders if they prove loyal.

Terms
; Aokkatti : a title given to blood-bond between wolves who've decided to be each other's "battle buddy"; this commitment is for life
; Sangilak : a title given to individuals that are successful in combat; survivors of war, or older warriors who wish to take on Anneriwok for tutelage.
; Issumatar : typically the title for the matriarch of a Tartok claim. Sometimes refers directly to the progenitor of the Tartok culture, Siku.
Maegi Jaes Blackfeather (born Maegi Peryite Melonii) is a character on WOLF-RPG.

Biography
Appearance and Personality
Family
By blood, she is a member of the Melonii Family, though she no longer claims them (at least by name). She was born to siblings Potema and Cicero, alongside two brothers, Ramsay and Euron.

She is mated to Titmouse and has two children with him, Hypnos and Miseria. Maegi also raised Sakhmet, Sobek and Anansi (children of Ramsay and Parvati) as her own. In 2020 the home she built with Titmouse burned down, scattering both Hypnos and Miseria from them. They mourned together and migrated back to the Teekon Wilds, where they settled within Yuelong and tried to grow their family again. Their daughter Blueberry was joined by a trio of rescued children, Prevost, Peregrine II, and Vesper (children of Phox and Niamh).

Several wolves, though not related by blood, are considered family by Maegi, including Kove and Moonshadow.
Description
As a child he was round, soft, and smaller than his siblings. He matured slowly and has since transitioned from a bulky child to a middling pseudo-adult. His body is slim and svelte; he is perfectly suited to seaside living due to his coastal wolf heritage. His long legs and athletic physique make him naturally smaller than most males his age and the bulk of his coat gives him an intimidating heft, but most of which thins out in the warmer months. His dense coat, ragged and wild, is remarkably similar in composition to his late father's in quality and gives him a mantled look. The boy resembles a gender-swapped version of his mother with the same alizarin depth, and hawkish golden eyes. After being attacked by pirates he earned a garish crease of scars around his muzzle (via Eartha) and since then, he's earned a few more cuts, bites, and scrapes but they are mostly hidden beneath his coat.

Details
Appearance
Zilliken's roots lay somewhere in Alaska, presumably where his type of beast was used by mankind; he is well suited for the north, with a layered coat that grows thick in the winter months, and well furnished limbs. His paws were massive as a cub and over time he has grown to suit them, becoming a giant by the time he reached sexual maturity. Phenotypically he resembles a giant shepherd with a tawny coat matched with distinct black markings, a large head with a tapered snout, and triangular ears. His coat is excessively shaggy regardless of the season and keeps him in a state of uncomfortable warmth. His eyes are a dark brown flecked with wolf gold. His face often holds a severe look — looking either disgruntled, unimpressed, or lethargic — and the black masking to his snout and eyes makes his head seem narrow, except where the tufts of his cheek fur flow like sharp, triangular mutton-chops.
Personality
A hopeless romantic; there is something inherently sad about him.
Bloodline
* Franziska Silvaner × Baron Silvaner
Sommerlach
(whelped by Gretel)
* Goldfern
* Reinhart
* Magnus
* Torstein
* Evelyn
Family
Zilliken was an only child, but was greatly loved by his mother Franziska, who was his whole world. He grew up living off the land in the northland, his mother's own birth-home of Sommerach; they were treated more like serfs by the ruling body, but Zilliken always did his share and the two of them stayed out of trouble. He developed friendships with some of the wolves living in the area. He eventually found himself ( essentially ) adopted by a brother-sister duo, Werner and Gretel, who he grew to love as strongly as he loved his mother. When Franziska began to show signs of illness it was up to Zilliken to find a cure, and he searched the entirety of the region for help only to abruptly lose his mother while he was on his journey ( which he will never forgive himself for ). He found comfort among his scattered pseudo-family. One night, after spilling his guts to Gretel and having a confusing tryst, he thought that he had found something to replace what he'd lost; but in the morning her own worries overwhelmed the situation, and she rebuked him harshly. Zilliken left Sommerach with a broken heart. A few months later, heavy with his children and struggling, Gretel gave birth to five children — the family that Zilliken so desperately wanted — only to die of complications. He is unaware of his continued bloodline in Sommerach, and roams the wilderness with a broken heart, hoping that one day he'll see his best friend again one day.
Description
A blue-blooded Nereides; a warrior, hunter, and proudly athletic Amazon. A patrician of the family Kea — she boasts the lean, sharp figure of a coastal wolf bathed in white-blonde. She takes great pride in her appearance, holding herself with confidence and poise, with the sharp edge of power and defiance within her moon-kissed gaze.

History
Born on an island off of the Themiscrya Coast to the matriarchal society of the Nereides. She was raised in the belief that she is a divine daughter of the Mother Sea and Mother Moon and took to it with ease, eager to develop in to someone her people could be proud of. She currently holds an Amazon aspect and strives to find enough balance to acquire her Nymph aspect so that she may be a worthy Siren.

Teekon Wilds
After washing ashore along the coast of the Wilds, Minerva is discovered by the then-pregnant Rosalyn Rivaini of Rusalka. Their meeting is not life altering, but Minerva does try to help ease the other woman's worries. When they part, Minerva begins the task of understanding the heathens she has found herself among. She meets Wraen Redleaf-DiSarinno of the Firebirds and learns just how different the mainland is from her island home. Afterwards she departs, unsure of her purpose.

When she returns to the Wilds she is still lost, but driven towards the seaside. Due to the calamities of autumn the Wilds are not in the best shape, with the coast being flooded or pulverized to the point of being uninhabitable, so Minerva heads inland. There she encounters Rosalyn a second time and is invited to stay as a member of Rusalka.

Family
Kea Island
Her mother was the priestess Dema Kea; her beloved sister Phaidra Kea is the only relation she recognizes, but she does have a living brother, Kritos Kea.
Selenite
As a Selenite, Minerva believes that the founding matriarch of her island is akin to a prophet or demigod, exalting the memory of her as readily as she worships the Mother Moon and Sea. Selene Nereides began the Kea Island branch as far back as fifty generations ago, so she is more myth than reality.

Description
This character is an NPC.

History
As is tradition within Toraigh, the menfolk disperse from their clans in pursuit of their calling. Often they return to their natal pack after some time away with stories to share, often with family in tow. The same could be said for Luithiarn. He was tasked with this same quest. He left Toraigh to seek out his hearth spirit (a guiding force, similar to a spirit guide, rooted in mythology). There are many gods within Toraigh and they are specific to each person, but oftentimes they lead people away from home for their own entertainment.

Luithiarn did meet many people and see many things, but through it all he pined for home. When he met Antiope Nereides he was struck by how abrasive she was, as most women were charmed by him in some way and she was revolted. So began the game of winning her heart; it was made more difficult because of the nature of Antiope's people. They were zealots in their own right, but more dangerous for Luithiarn was the prospect of being forced in to servitude, which Antiope warned against. They were soon swept up in the danger of it all and had their tryst, at which point the siren forced the man to leave before they could be caught together.

Family
Luithiarn is one of the many children of Sithmaithe and Kyran of Toraigh. Through Kyran he is connected to his uncles Riordan, Murtagh, and Tiarnan as well as an aunt named Maura. Through his mother he is connected to his uncle Bairrionn and aunt Brid. They are a very old family with Celtic inspiration.

Unknown to him, Luithiarn is the father of Camilla and the grandfather of both Fenton and Figment Redhawk.

The island hosts a number of tribes, each consisting of their own family lines of Nereides. They have been separate from the mainland and the true faith for a very long time. The island was colonized by a woman named Selene Nereides, and her followers call themselves Selenites. The island has been a stronghold for this branch of the Nereides for at least fifty generations and over time Selene has become a goddess in her own right, at least according to the stories passed upon the island. Although not as vital to their faith as Mother Moon or Mother Sea, the wolves of Kea Island treat the memory of their matriarch as one might treat a prophet, or a demigod in some pantheons.

The Legend of Kea Island
The legend of Kea Island dates back at least fifty generations. Most of it is kept by the elders of the island through the use of a verbal record, and it is passed down to the daughters of the tribe every generation. Pieces are shared among the adepts while major events are shared with the priestesses. As each generation dies out the stories are collected by the survivors—taught in reverse to those that are missing key points—until the full recollection has been compiled by a single individual. At times segments of the stories have been lost, and so it is not an exact history.

One of the main points of the island's history centers around the founder of the Kea lineage: Selene Nereides. No matter which historian is recounting the tales of the island, this key figure is always remembered. She was—she is—a very important part of the family history. Selene was the first Siren Queen to settle upon the island; a warrior and devoted priestess of the Mothers, she earned favor with the heathens presiding over the isle and beat down anyone in her path until everyone bowed to her. Through her teachings and her communion with Mother Sea, the island fell under the control of the sirens and their traditions were solidified.

Not everyone wished to obey the laws set down by Selene. She was ruthless when necessary, converting women with her charm, raiding what limited tribes existed upon the island for servants, and otherwise quashing resistance wherever it sprang up. A number of the island tribes were worthy foes who could not be extinguished, and so Selene set out to convert them in a new fashion. She promised them many things—ranging from the basic necessities of life (security, food, and space) to more esoteric concepts (the favor of the gods, her private adulation, children borne of the sea with mixed blood borne from her own womb if need be), and gradually they curbed to her will. Promises were made and few were kept; however, the mixing of blood did transpire and the children of Selene came to rule in their own small tribes.

Over the next few years these children borne of Selene were returned to their father's tribes, and through sedition, seduction, and corruption the daughters converted more and more of the island residents to the faith. Eventually there was nothing left but tribes of angry men; the women had come together beneath Selene and proclaimed her their Siren Queen. Some historians like to boast about Selene's god-granted wisdom; others focus primarily on her prowess in battle, or her great love of her daughters and sisters. Whoever is telling the tale, the Siren Queen is always the protagonist and she always wins.

Lunar Calendar
Some tribes, such as Kea Island, observe their days in accordance to moon cycles. Each lunar month consists of exactly thirty days. At the end of the year is a period of five extra days (called epagomene) leading up to the final day of the year. Occasionally there is also the phenomena of the Blue Moon, which is an extra full moon cycle; some Nereides consider these to bring good fortune while others might perform particular rituals to honor the Mother Moon.

Description
Sea foam cresting dark rocks in a storm; pale, violent, unkempt. Her eyes were tempestuous sea green. Motherhood filled in the sharp angles of her body; while she retained a lean quality to her limbs and an angular above-average height, her curves became more pronounced and her edges softened. At one point she could've been compared to a silver zeppelin. Complications after her final pregnancy led to her weight dropping dramatically, her mood destabilizing, and she died in her sleep.

History
The woman was born as Rheia, a Nereides, who was sent away from the sea to live with a midland tribe of priestesses. This place was called Labyrinth; their focus was on the worship of the moon and stars rather than the conjunction of Mother Moon and Mother Sea together. Here she flourished and was happy. On the night of her final initiation (and as the youngest priestess in the small sisterhood's history) she grew anxious and abandoned them out of fear.

While travelling she was met by a man named Joakim Jadot who charmed her, made her feel safe, and proved in a short span of time that there was more to life than the teachings of the sisterhood. He took her as his wife and convinced her that she must take a different name and leave her past behind, and so she became Camilla. So began her love affair, but it was not to last.

Camilla soon learned that her husband was not as pure, nor as trustworthy, as she was led to believe. He would have strange men visiting at all hours of the day or night, sometimes with wives of their own or young girls. On more than one occasion Camilla caught her husband with these women but did not know what to do about it. If she voiced any opposition to her husband's behaviour in private he would become unbearable, and she certainly could not do it in public when his friends were around.

What she failed to notice was that the men weren't just sharing women, but trading them. She learned of this practice when Joakim's attention was drawn to a young woman that his friend Lukja Anan had brought with him. Deciding he wanted the girl instead of Camilla, the men traded wives and that was how Lukja became Camilla's second husband.

The months spent with Lukja amounted to Camilla falling pregnant for the first time. She had three children, of which only one survived, but he was removed from her presence as soon as he was born. Heartbroken that she could not even look upon her newborns, she tried to flee and failed. Lukja was furious with her; it was hard to tell if he was angry over the pregnancy, the failure, or the escape attempt, but it did not really matter - he traded her away for nothing, to a horrible man named Goran Rashid.

With very little time to recover from her ordeal, she was sent to live with this new man. At this point Camilla was too stressed to eat, barely able to sleep, and under constant harassment. She did everything she could to appease this man regardless of what was asked of her, until she couldn't take it any further. Thankfully during her final escape attempt was successful and she made it to the Teekon Wilds.

When she arrives in the Wilds its in a state of immense terror and stress; she's running from someone, and it is Phox of Heron Lake Plateau that finds her. He brings her to the Redhawks and she is given protection. It comes to light that she is trying to escape the abusive behaviour of her husband, and Phox promises to keep her safe. He treats her with kindness, which is utterly new to the woman.

As Camilla adjusts to life within a pack setting again, she wonders what Phox has planned for her. She does not know how to label him as all of her previous relationships with men have been quite specific, and he is too kind to be trusted. However, as she does not have anyone else that she can depend on, she begins to see him as a new husband. She thinks that taking Phox as her mate will purge the trauma from her, as well as protect her should the others come hunting.

Nereides
Rheia was born to Antiope Nereides (via Luithiarn MacKyran). Antiope could not love her and failed to care for her, until she passed away. Rheia's grandmother Chrysothemis Nereides took care of her until she was taken to Labyrinth. Her maternal aunts Bellona Nereides, Eliana Nereides and Cybele Nereides helped to teach her the history of her people, their culture, and all of the traditions associated with it.

The Company
Joakim Jadot was her first husband and traded her to Lukja Anan, who got her pregnant. After the children were born and Camilla tried to escape, she was recaptured and traded to Goran Rashid. Her final escape attempt brought her to the Teekon Wilds but she was tracked down by Stormy Boy who was contracted by the Company to retrieve her.
Description
A fairly typical Russian Grey wolf. He was of middling size and stalwart in build, with an off-cream coat that darkened to frosty greys across his top line, a pair of gold eyes, and a myriad of old battle scars. He was not a vocal creature in life unless he had to be, and often found comfort in the more brooding aspects of life. A hard worker, dutiful pack member, and eventually a surly alpha of the taiga. Njal was a difficult man and a terrible husband, but he loved deeply, respected those that earned it, and took pride in teaching others how to survive.
Description
A gray-cast doppelganger of both his parents; he takes after Tuwawi in size and general build, resembling a streamlined summer-land wolf, but anyone who knew his mountain of a father would see Njal in his face. He is the smallest of the Sveijarn and has a streamlined build, although in the winter months his body bulks along his shoulders and belly in a manner that gives him a stout appearance.

History
His biological parents are Tuwawi and Njal Sveijarn; first there was Maera, then his beloved brother Valtyr, and sister Jökull. He was abducted soon after the family settled Duskfire Glacier and was rescued by Caiaphas, who raised him like a son alongside Kevlyn. She taught him that his birth parents wanted him dead and that she was his rescuer; from that point on he considered the sea-witch his only family. Years later, he found a kindred spirit in Saghani, although he has no knowledge of the family he started with her. After his return to the Wilds he developed a loyalty-based attraction to Saena Redleaf which dissolved around the time her pack did. He does not have any family left — believing for a while that his witch mother had passed on prior to the dissolution of his own memory.

Description
Tulimaq resembles your typical grey wolf, and due to his size and build he looks younger and weaker than he truly is. He is built like a runner, with long legs and a substantial amount of natural power within his dense muscles. He is quite a tall and broad creature, towering over his siblings ever since he could remember, although he carries himself in a passive manner. If someone were to look in to his ancestry they'd find his mixed silver pelt, large size, and slight sharpness to his features to be a throwback to his paternal grandfather, Njal.

History
His biological parents are Saghani of Tartok and the rogue, Larus. He has never met his father, as his parents drifted apart before he was born. He was raised among his mother's militaristic people, learning of the world through physical trials, which he excelled at.

When the litter had reached their first birthday Saghani brought them back to the Teekon Wilds, searching for her lost mate, but he was never found. It was during this time that Saghani encountered Moonspear - losing her life to the teeth of Hydra Ostrega and her sisters. The yearlings were unaware of this event and presumed their mother had abandoned them, so they returned to the north.

Tulimaq focused his energy on making a name for himself, and earned the right to form his own branch of Tartok. He chose to investigate the Teekon Wilds again and became fixated upon the Tuktu Hinterlands - finding the challenge of the impenetrable barrier mountains to be appealing. He set his sights on Boartusk Heights. Despite his desire and his drive, Tulimaq's efforts did not sustain beyond a few months, and with the influx of wolves to the surrounding territories he decided to give up.

Following the failure to conquer the mountain he fell in with the Firebirds, unaware that he had started to fixate upon a new prize worth conquering: Wildfire. He lingered with the Firebirds for a few weeks before wanderlust began to creep up on him, and then he dispersed from their company without a word to anyone. Upon his return a few months later, he found that Wildfire had passed away and the pack was under new leadership, as Colt Blackthorn had stepped up to lead. Now that he was no longer tethered to anyone or anything, Tulimaq chose to disperse from the wilds entirely.

History
His biological parents are Saghani of Tartok and the rogue, Larus Sveijarn.
