	When tradgedy struck in the rapid loss of a few important members of the pack, Bridget took it upon herself to perform the rites that would carry them on. Though dwindled, the pack continued, and she attempted to remain a steadfast presence in the midst of so much turmoil. It was shortly after all of this that she stumbled upon an injured [[Towhee]], however, and in nursing her back to health formed a fast friendship with the Redhawk. 			Injured by [[Fennec]] in a misunderstanding, she and [[Teya]] argued over whether it was worthwhile to call the Redhawks out on the incident. Bridget's frustration was only made worse when her friend revealed that she had been keeping a number of secrets from her. While they eventually made peace, their relationship remained strained and more distant, especially with [[Reyes]]'s arrival, acceptance, and relationship with Teya.

			A short time after, while hunting within the mountains that bordered Brecheliant, Bridget lost her footing and fell.

			She was found unconscious and taken to a pack that lay somewhere to the southwest of Teekon. When she had recovered enough, she intended to return to Brecheliant, but the pack's lead insisted that she owed them allegiance. Furthermore, she was to become his son (and second's) mate and provide him with heirs to continue their bloodline. She refused and was attacked, leaving marks of her own but taking a nasty bite wound with her.

			It festered as she traveled and by the time she arrived in Teekon it was heavily infected. She nearly died of fever and starvation before being found and taken to the islands of [[Blackwater]].
