About

Meerkat and Njord long aspired to start their own pack. After contributing to other villages for years, the pair set out to form their own clan in the fall of 2023. They desired to create a family community, focused on shared responsibilities and group development.

Ranks

Two things are taken into consideration when ascending the ranks: knowledge and kinship. Pack members are encouraged to explore their talents for the betterment of the clan and to build communal trust by applying those skills to improve pack life.

Navigator	Betas; Skilled wolves who are trusted counselors and advisors.
Luminary	Respected honorees and elders.

Confidante	Renowned members who have the pack's full trust. Mentors and teachers.
Pathfinder	Proven and skilled members who have the pack's full trust. The pack's heart.
Ranger	Trusted wolves who have earned two base trades.
Entourage
Wayfarer	Those who have gained some trust and possess at least one base trade.
Rambler	Those on their way to earn trust and tradeless individuals.
Sojourner	Default rank for all newcomers.
Youth
Adolescent	Ages six to nine months.
Youngling	Ages two to six months.
Nursling	Up to two months old.

Territory

Whether due to the prevalence of ragweed and flowers or by some other unspoken natural wonder, Sun Mote Copse is known for always having particles of something, usually pollen, floating through the air. The trees grow high and sparse, with sprawling canopies that filter in the sunlight, making Sun Mote Copse the brightest of all forests in the area, and the drifting particles practically glow with the sunlight.

Western Wetlands (Name TBD)	This area has boggy, peaty earth that is abundant with waterfowl (duck, goose, heron), fish (mudminnow, perch), amphibians, turtles, beaver, and sometimes moose. River Through Forest(Name TBD)	*Watersource is the Alpine Lake. Clear, cold water. Fish (trout, chair), crayfish, freshwater clams, otter. Attracts large game like mule and blacktailed deer.
Center Forest (Name TBD)	*Trees Sparsely placed. High, bare-trunked, column-like ponderosa pines, red spruce, some paper birch, and black cottonwood. Wildflowers, ragweed, grasses. Rich, dry mulch smell. Attracts a variety of game, large and small.
Northern & Southern Deep Forest (Name TBD)	*Many young trees compete and make a densely forested area. Abundant mountain laurel that blooms in early summer. Good hunting for medium to small game. Excellent ruffed and spruce grouse hunting. Good berry and herb picking

OOC Policies

• Puppies may be NPC'd up to six months old. If they are NPCs when they reach six months old, they are assumed to have dispersed peacefully.
• Adults may be NPC'd if the following criteria is met:
  • The player chooses a date to return.
  • The player notes what activities their character can be referenced doing.
• If an adult character does not return by the date set by their player, it will be assumed they have dispersed peacefully. Extensions can be made upon request.
• Characters are assumed to have dispersed after one week of inactivity.
